Four problems behind most plumbing calls

The toilet will not flush down

A choke in the bowl's trap or the pipe behind it. Stop flushing.

Water under the kitchen sink

A leaking trap or a joint on the supply pipe.

No hot water, or the heater leaks

A part, or a new heater. Price both before deciding.

The water bill jumped

A hidden leak on your side of the meter. Do the meter test.

In HDB estates, homeowners maintain the pipes and fittings in their own unit, and Town Councils maintain the water tanks and pipes on common property (MSE, 2024).

Why use Plumbline

Know the rules and the price before the plumber arrives

  • The rules, stated

What needs a PUB Licensed Plumber, what a handyman may do, and who owns which pipe.

  • Prices you can check

  • Price before work

The plumber quotes before starting. Agree it in writing.

  • One request, no account

Two minutes on the form. Nothing to pay us.

Questions people ask

What does Plumbline do?

Plumbline passes Singapore homeowners' plumbing requests to independent plumbers who serve their area. You say what is wrong and where; a plumber calls you back, quotes, and does the job. You pay the plumber directly.

How much does a plumber cost in Singapore?

Published 2026 rates read from eight Singapore plumbing firms: toilet bowl choke S$60 to S$150; exposed pipe leak S$80 to S$200; concealed leak with hacking S$300 to S$800; tap replacement from about S$80; toilet bowl supply and install from about S$200. After-hours surcharges apply at some firms.

Do I need a licensed plumber?

For regulated water service and sanitary plumbing work, yes: since 1 April 2018 it is an offence to engage a plumber not licensed by PUB for that work. Clearing chokes, replacing taps and mixers, and replacing floor trap gratings are simple works a handyman may do.

Who fixes a leaking pipe in an HDB flat?

Pipes and fittings inside your flat are yours. Pipes and water tanks on common property are the Town Council's. The water mains up to your meter are PUB's.

Is there a charge for sending a request?

No. Sending a request costs nothing. The plumber tells you the price before any work starts.
